Supposedly dee-lish chocolate cake that can be made in five minutes, in a mug, and in the microwave. [Jul. 21st, 2008|10:37 am]

Due to being paranoid and thinking my oven has a gas leak I have been using the microwave more than usual. I am not so happy about that but I am happy about this recipe posted on the Dizzy Dee site:

[NOTE: These are NOT my hands nor is that my piggy cup, sadly.]

Can this be made with flour other than cake flour? Can you use all-purpose? What would this be like if you added nuts or something like that to it? This is an awesome idea for someone who lives on their own or just doesnt want to make a whole cake when they feel like choco cake. Yum. What a great idea. OH and, I looove your piggy cup.

I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure all-purpose is fine. Nuts would probably work as well.

What an awesome idea! I love cake, and this is better portion control than making a whole cake...mmmmm. I'll have to try this out soon.

A real CUP CAKE! Awesome. I also like how it looks like the pig in your cup in standing on a hill of flour and cocoa.

Whoa. I've heard about these infamous "seven minute microwave cakes" - in fact my cousin from Australia tried to convince me to do it since she does it all the time.

I still didn't trust her enough to try it, but here's living proof. Wow.

How did it taste? The texture looks a bit..funny, but maybe it's gooey in the middle? Please feedback because I seriously need to try this!

This is off subject, but I really love your icon! Little Princess is my favorite movie.

Whoops. TOTALLY got my movies mixed up. I didn't realize that I had posted the wrong movie name until it had been posted.

Secret Garden is my other favorite movie as well.

I used to make microwave cake when I wasn't patient enough to make it in oven. An awesome way to make them is put the batter in a cake cone and heat it in the microwave, then put icing on top. It looks like a ice cream cone but it is cake!... or brownies which ever. and they are cute!

I made this recently. It tastes like a chewy chocolate pancake. Adding 1/4 a tsp of baking powder gave it a more cakey consistency. I'll probably try a bit more next time.
